1ST GOAL IN 12 YEARS!Joanna Roberts Monday, February 11, 2002 12:47 GMT Karen Nixon, the stalwart of the Wakefield Ladies defence, score an excellent individual goal, in yesterday’s 2-0 victory over White Rose Ladies yesterday. This was Karen’s first goal, in a football career that spans well over 12 years. At least it’s her first goal in the right net in over 12 years! Wakefield Ladies FC were drawing 0-0 with White Rose, when Karen found the ball at her feet. After beating 3 White Rose players, Karen was on her own as other Wakefield players had drifted off side. Kazza kept a cool head and calmly took the ball round the White Rose keeper and slotted it into the back of the net. WELL DONE KAZZA FROM ALL YOUR WLFC TEAM MATES! |
