BDAS CLINCH TITLELayne Walker Wednesday, August 14, 2002 16:57 GMTSet 1: Smash & Grab 12 - 15 BDAS Set 2: Smash & Grab 13 - 15 BDAS Set 3: Smash & Grab 17 - 15 Smash & Grab Result: Smash & Grab 1 BDAS 2 Team: Bine, Fidel, Layne, Neil, Stephen, Wendy BDAS played one of their 2 unplayed fixtures on a sultry night among the goosesh*t at Willen Lake. Although almost certain to take the title before the match a victory against the nearest chasing team would seal it. There was a delayed start due to us only having 6 and me being late due to a panic on at work but once under way we carried on where we left last week. Neil's hitting was as good as I've seen all season and this seemed to set Bine and Wendy off. Stephen was leading from the front as usual and it was all nice and easy stuff. We got a couple of points behind in the 2nd set but pulled it back without too much trouble. It was as similar story in the 3rd but this time we left it just too late and lost it 17-15. It was a nice way to end the season and thanks to all for taking part. We had a bad set occasionally but week in week out we were just too good for the others. Well done all.
