CLUB ANORAK MISSES QUALIFIER

CLUB RECIEVE UNCONFIRMED REPORTS OF LIE IN

Broadford Plant Officials were today playing down unconfirmed reports that 'Club Strap and Football Anorak' 'George 'Geeka' Grant had alledgedly missed a World Cup Qualifier on his holiday with Agent and Lover Alison 'Mildo'.

It is reported and as yet to be confirmed that Grant was seen staggering home from a local nightspot in Gran Canaria in the small hours with a bottle of Stella in his hand singing 'Ooh Ali Faisal, Ooh Ali Faisal and failed to get up for the unconfirmed early kick off in the Far East.

Club Officials were today trying to get to the bottom of the slur, as Grant a football nut who said on his departure from Manchester Airport last Saturday 'I've got every game covered even when I'm back home, I won't miss a kick!'. Club spokesman Mike Raphone today said 'Club Officials are looking into the accusations very seriously but as yet these are unconfirmed, George is obviously obsessed by the beautiful game and we doubt very much if this is true but as you all know he is partial to the odd drink or two.'
