FARNDON 6 - 2 ZENITH
Farndon blasted six goals past Zenith on Sunday Morning to confirm there presence again next season in the Premier Division. The team started the season poorly but since Xmas have turned the season round and this win puts them in Mid-Table fir the season.
Zenith started brightly and had a few chances in the first 20mins before Michael Simpsons dazzling display on the right provide a cross for Longdon to slot home from 5yards. 10 minutes later Zenith were back in the game when a cross from the left saw Chappel equalize, with some of Farndons defence still upfield. The half time being 1-1.
Zenith took the lead in the second period through Ball, and Farndon then made two substitutions with Rooster Richardson and Ryan Goodrick coming off for Cosgrove and Lewis. Farndon then up the pace and the goals started to flow , a couple from Paul 'Jesus' Barratt, two from Paul Cosgrove and a blistering finish from Rhys Lewis saw Farndon end up 6-2 victorious. Special mention to Nicky Brompton for shadowing Zeniths No.1 player Junior Jackson, who was superb. Issott ran the show in midfield 2nd half and was unlucky not too add his name to the scoresheet. Goodrick had a back problem due to a hectic session the night before which took away some of his power and strenght.
