PLAYERS RESPOND TO ROASTING BEFORE DINNER!EDITOR Sunday, April 28, 2002 18:39 GMT

The Under 12's again played higher oppostion with a trip to Tiptree looking for a result against their own division leaders next week. The lads were tired after 3 games in a week, one late under floodlights and Tiptree soon tried to exploit this. After Tiptree opened the scoring, Jack Schmid and Dane Revell , replied to put the visitors in front. This shocked the homeside who on paper should be several goals in difference. Gallow came back in at half time 3-2 to a roasting for silly mistakes at the back and a few lacking in anything more than going through the motions. They then found second wind, and the game entered an either end stage with the visitors back to 5-4 after another Jack Schmid goal and Cemal Hill. Credit to the boys as they searched and looked more than likely to get 2 more goals with Steven Haggerty in Goal improving the defence, and turn the expected score upside down. The home keeper kept Gallow at bay with fine saves, before a mid-field defence mistake gave Tiptree's No11 the breakaway to settle the nerves of the home Manager. Well done Boy's!!!! Man of the Match Luke Owers. settling into the side with growing confidence and a superb performance.
