The game was reletively uneventful and 2 goals close together claimed the win. Battyford: Merryman 7, Dolby 7, Greaves 7, Shaw 7, Rogerson 7, Tracey 6 (Saddington 6), Martin 7, BARRETT 7, Bould 7, Gleghorn 7, Newman 6. Subs Not Used: Kelly Battyeford 3 v Wellhouse Wanderers 2 Battyeford made a terrific second half comeback from a 2 goal deficit to claim 3 points. A poor first half saw Battyeford find themselves 2 goals down, but a second half fightback, with goals from Martin and Tracey levelled the score, and the win was confirmed when the dangerous Rogersonbroke on the right and squared the ball which was turned into the net by a Wellhouse defender. Battyeford: Merryman 6, Dolby 7, Shaw 7, MIDGLEY 7, Greaves 7, Saddington 4 (Pickford 6), Tracey 7, Barrett 7, Martin 7, Rogerson 7, P.Bould 6 Subs Not Used: Gleghorn, G.Bould Battyeford 5 v 1 Oakwell Motel Battyeford comprehensivly defeated Champions elect in a bad tempered match, played in attrocoius conditions. Andy Rogerson scored a terrific hat trick, including an amazing, Beckham-esq goal from the halway line, James Tracey scored his second in 2 games, and Adam Gleghorn sealed the win with a penalty. The game was ill-tempered and Oakwell were down to 10 men after just 10 minutes after a clash with Barett left the striker seeing red. 6 other players saw yellow in the game, including Barrett and Greaves, whose game ended with him breaking his ankle. Battyeford concede a late penalty, but it was irrelevant as the game was over as a contest long before.
