Star of the show was stand in skipper Jamie Barton with two race wins in his nine points. Barton would have taken an extra ride but admitted to being too 'knackered' afterwards! Mechanical trouble beset both teams with Mark Thompson, Ian Clarke Martin Williams and Gareth Silk suffering the most. But spare a thought for the Saints number eight Paul Havill, who answered a late call up when jamie Holmes could not make the meeting, paid over eighty pounds to get his van across on the ferry, and then found that try as he might his bike would not start!
