Club recieves fine and warningPaul Quinn Wednesday, November 28, 2001 20:03 GMT
The club recieved an official warning and also were fined for their part in the controversial game at Elland. The game which was on the 14th of October this year saw Irish Centre leading 2-1 and total dominating the game, then at half time the referee decided to abandon the game to everyones amazement due to apparent poor visability due to fog!!
Many fixtures at that level and around the area were uneffected throughout the day. Many of the players reacted in understandable annoyance but some of the industrial language used was unacceptable and the referee on the day issued an official report.
The West Riding saw it right to fine Huddersfield Irish Centre FC and the committee accepted the fine and warning and stated that they do not tolerate abusive behaviour within the club. The club has been warned about its future conduct.
