Senegal beat France 1 - 0

Welcome to the World Cup 2002 in Japan and South Korea. The tournament that sheds tears and brings joy! Today saw the Opening Ceremony in the Seoul Stadium. The Opening Ceremony Celebrations were fabulous! The game started of well with the underdogs Senegal testing French goalkeeper Fabien Barthez. On 30 minutes, the unthinkable happened. Senegal went ahead with a great goal from Bouba Diop. It stayed like that for the rest of the game although France did have chances to win an equaliser. France coach Roger Lemmere revealed that Senegal had been better than France on the day and that Senegal were a very well organised team.
