Cambridge Utd fail for the first time this season

Andy Swallowe  Sunday, May 06, 2001  18:49 GMT

Three of our players were kindly invited to play with Cherryhinton Crusaders against Cambridge Utd in a warm up for Uniteds cup game.
In the first half our combined team gelled together well and out played United.A great team performance and a goal from Kirsty resulted in a half time score of 1-1.
In the second half the girls continued to out play United and produced far more opportunities but failed to capitalize.A second goal from Kirsty had the girls leading 2-1 with just over a minute to play.Against the run of play United equalized with a final score of 2-2.
This was a great result and the girls did themselves proud by putting in a super team perfomance.
Don't forget United have beaten everyone this season and this result puts into perspective how well all of the girls played.
Thanks to all of the girls from Cherryhinton for making us welcome and special thanks to Kevin and Eddie for inviting us along.
