Full Pitch BattleJohn Wood Friday, June 22, 2001 22:36 GMT
The whole of the Lupus Street stadium was in it's glory as 2 full teams fought it out under the baking sun. Although the game was low scoring it delivered play of skill and excitement.
The 6 - 4 score to the side lead brillantly by Dave Bryson did not reflect how close the game was. With the score at 5-4 and a minute to go, Craig had an easy chance to level the scores, but the man with golden boot put the ball just over the bar. A moment later and with too many of Bill Dhadli's players committed up front the ball was slotted passed Dee to make the score 6 - 4.
However, at the end of the day football was the winner, everyone played their part and contributed to a classic match.
