Entertainers sink NYUAlasdair Scott Friday, May 04, 2001 23:39 GMT
The Entertainers were comfortable winners in the end but with the number of chances created should have had the game well and truly won by half-time. 1-0 up at the break through Alan Dobinson, who tapped home a Ray Stoddart cross, the 3rds could not build on their lead. NYU equalised though at least 3 of their players seemed to be yards offside and this gave the visitors a more competitive edge. However, a well taken goal by skipper Ray Stoddart, followed up by his second and one for Peter Van der Bremer, gave the scoreline more credibility. The team is beginning to settle now and just need to take early chances to allow their passing game to flourish.
