Falcons turned over!
The Falcons were well beaten by a final scoreline of 50-39 at St Austell, however doing just enough to grab the bonus. Exeter opened up with a 5-0 in heat 1 when Brett Woodifield was excluded for falling for the second time at the first bend and Wayne Barrett retired on the second lap.
A barrage of 4-2s for Trelawny whittled away the Falcon lead until heat 4. In heat 7, a 5-1 to the hosts put pressure on the Falcons who responded with tac sub rides for Michael Coles, Lawrence Hare and Mark Simmonds in the second half of the meeting.
The bonus point was effectively secured by heat 14 by an excellent win for Lol Hare, whilst fine rides by Michael Coles and Lawrence Hare in heat 15 made sure that no rider finished unbeaten on the night as they kept the previously unbeaten Chris Harris at the back.
Pick of the Falcons was Michael Coles with 13+1 from 6 rides ably supported by Mark Simmonds 8 from 5 rides and Lol Hare 8+1 from 5 rides.
Matt Cambridge tried extremely hard on only his 2nd appearance at the Clay County Motor Park, however although he failed to score was ever trying.
