Hackney 0 - 22 ware

Hackney 0-22 Ware

Hackney put in another spirited performance for there last league game of the season.

Hackney got off to a flyer putting extream pressure on the ware defence. For the last 20 min of the first half ware couldn’t find a way out of there own 22. A combination of good work of of the scrums, and good fringe play from saw hackney pin back the ware fly and scrum half time and time again.

Unfortunately for Hackney they couldn’t convert this dominant passage of play to points. The game was played at a fairly fast pace with some huge tackles going in from the Backrow. Hackney suffered a massive blow mid way through the first half with two serious injures to Seth and Riley. Shortly after Rileys departure, and Ski’s switch to 2nd row Hackney started to lose possession in the scrum and found themselves being pushed back time after time, Mr O'briens HUGE presence was sorely missed.

On a lighter note Mickey found the ball again this weekend and went on an 8 meter rampage, it was also his switch to lifting at number 3 in the line, with Phil lifting at 2 that saw Ray winning most of oppositions lineout and even winning his own ball. There’s was talk after the Match of playing Mickey on the Wing for the final two games of the season

At half time the game was tied at 0-0 at which point it looked like a try from either side would seal there side a much needed league win.

Ware started the half brightly and spent most of the first 10 just inside the Hackney Half, then 20min to the second half hackney lost there 3rd player, not long after this hackneys stout defence finally gave ion and conceded the first Try, even worse was to come for Hackney when
they lost Tim the second backrow player to go off, with severe cold.

In the end hackney couldn’t contain Ware after loosing 4 players and went down after a hard thought tussle on a very cold and wet day
