FEATURE - OLD BANDITS

DAVE 'Big Dave' MAGER
Role: Manager
Big Dave along with the team coach and former goalie, Ron, are the guys who first set up the team back in 1995/96 and Dave and his wife Paula then managed the team until the end of 2000/2001 season.

Although not directly involved with the play on the rink Dave was as much a part of the team as any of the other Bandits.

Responsible for the day to day running of the sqaud, arranging training and collecting the coins, these are just a few of the tasks covered by the manager.

Went on to become diciplinary officer for the Southern League along with Paula, Dave also ran the bench.

TIME 1996/2001

BARRY AISBETT - Barry is one of the original members of the Bandits from the early days. Has missed out on many of the Bandits recent trophies due to the fact that he left to try and collect some silverware with the Cruisers.

Needless to say they did not hardly win a thing and dispanded with their glory years behind them.

Since then Barry has not played much but returned to the Bandits for just one game - a 17- 5 ein in a friendly with Ton 60's - and has not played since.

Time 1996/1997

Michael 'Badger Boy' Conroy - Mike was one of the teams goalies for quite some time. Mike worked at Skate Asylum and bought Ronnies kit in order to pad up and face plastic. Badger also played Ice Hockey (rec) down at Guildford. Ever reliable util interest wain in the 2000/01 season.

Time 1998/2001

Denholm Blair - Denholm was the Canadian import that we imported back to Canada - now that does not happen everyday. Denholm signed for the Bandits during the famous Skaters 92 exhile in 1998 which saw many of the former players come accross.

During his time with the Bandits the rolly Canadian scored many vital goals and was part of the Great team in 1999 who came runners up in Britain. Often performing at the highest level Denholm was a real asset to the team and has been missed a great deal since his return to Canada with Nikki (his wife) in 2000.
