AS YOU ASK VICE CHAIRMAN, I WILL TELL U WHAT I THINK: 1)REDUCE THE PLAYING BUGET BY APPROX 30-40% BUT PUT THE ££££ IN TO A SPECIAL ACCOUNT FOR USE IN SAY 2-3 YEARS, WE CAN STILL STAY IN THE PREM DIV WITH OUT PAYING THESE WAGES BY USEING LOCAL BOYS ON SAY £20.0 PER GAME. 2) GET RID OF THE AWAY DAY BUS, 50% OF THE AWAY SUPPORT DRIVE THEIR OWN CARS ANYWAY!!!!!, 4 OR 5 SHAREING A CAR, PLAYERS CAN DO THE SAME: 3) PUT UP THE BAR PRICES BY 2P A PINT, SOFT DRINKS BY 5p, HALF TIME PIES ETC BY 5-10p EACH: 4) DO NOT INCREASE THE ENTRY CHARGE, OR PUT THE PROG UP, HOW CAN YOU HAVE A INCREASE ON A POOR PRODUCT???? 5) ENSURE J HORE STAYS, HE IS THE BEST,TO BE SURE: |

Wee the season is Over, The chances of Chippenham getting promotion has now increased and it looks more likely we are off to new pastures, if we do then lets hope Barum, play 38 matches like you played against CHippenham at hardenhuish Park, that was probably Chippenhams hardest match of the season and we lost to you... Have a great break, and thanks Rory for all of your support and friendship......and thanks Barum for being one of the nicest clubs, and people we have met in several years. |

GET RID OF IT, SAVE £££ THE ADVERT IN THE NON LEAGUE NEWS MAY STIR SOME ONE, BUT THEY WILL NEED TO BE VETED!!!. I HAVE SAID THAT TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL TEAM IN N DEVON, THEN BIDEFORD, BARUM AND TORRINGTON NEED TO COME TOGETHER AS ONE CLUB IE NORTH DEVON AFC, RUN 6-8 SIDES IN THE FEEDER LEAGUES , THE FIRST TEAM PLAYING ON THE BEST PITCH @ THE MOMENT BIDEFORD: GLAD COLIN WHEATCROFT IS HAPPY WITH THE PITCH AS YOU SAY IT MAKES IT BETTER TO GET THE BETTER PLAYERS TO COME TO BARUM, BRING YOUR 5 YEAR PLAN ALONG TO THE "HOT HOUSE" WHEN WE GO OUT WITH JC AND WE WILL HAVE A GOOD LOOK @ IT THEN BEFORE YOU PRESENT IT TO THE AGM AND FINE TUNE IT: |

I agree "Shappie" should be given an extended run in the side. He was man of the match today without any doubt. His passion for the game is second to none. I think once he gets his first goal he will grow in confidence and should become a regular either up front or on the right hand side of midfield. |

Grecian- we were a reasonable team, nowt special but we were reasonable.....ask Bideford how many points they have gained since Hore and Robbins arrived,,,the answer is 2points.Also, the other thing is the weather. We could only play, not train on the pitch, that is a board problem....lets book the astro turf for next year now. Look forward to another reasonable season eh.....fickle fans...doh |

RE BARUM YOU ARE 90% CORRECT BUT I FEEL WE NEED 5/6 MORE PLAYERS, I THINK JH WILL SORT IT OUT NO PROBLEM: WE HAVE TO WIN TOMORROW AS THEY ARE BOTTOM OF THE LEAGUE, IS IT RIGHT THAT BIDEFORD HAVE BEEN TALKING TO OWEN PICKARD, HIS DAD TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD WORDSWITH HIM AND CHIS MYERS, I THINK HE WILL NOT MOVE FROM THE HIGHER LEAGUE : VICE CHAIR PERSON, HAVE YOU BOOKED THE CURRY HOUSE YET????? |

Well hopefully we'll finish the season off with two home wins. I'm already eagerly looking forward to next season. JH has hardly touched this years budget so i have heard, this means he will have a bit more to spend. I think this year he just wanted to take stock, see who he wants to keep etc. I have complete faith in the man and reckon on a top 6 finish next year. Come On Barum! |

Hey, Pilgrim If City win this weekend & Plymouth lose, Exeter will only have finished only 5 points behind Arygle. All season Exeter have been avoiding the drop against relegation & Plymouth have been reported has having an outside chance of making the playoffs. Very thin line between success/failure. With regards Barum, at Xmas time looking at results I seem to think we could finish at least 8th or even 6th. Sadly the inexperience of the players became evident & we lost our way for a three month period . I think we were 3/4 players away from being a reasonable team this year |

WELL MENTOR, WHAT I THINK BARUM NEED TO DO IS LOOK TO THE FUTURE SAY 5-6 YEARS DOWN THE LINE, WE CAN NOT WIN THE LEAGUEWITH THE LIKES OF TAUNTON TOWN, AND NOW BIDEFORD ETC HAVING LOADS OF £££ TO SPEND, MAINTAIN OUR LEAGUE STATUS SAY LOWER HALF BY PAYING A FEW PLAYERS FROM OUTSIDE SAY £400 OER WEEK ABD THEN TRY AND BRING ON THE LOCAL YOUNG TALANT THAT IS OUT THERE, I KNOW ITS EASY TO SAY BUT I THINK ITS A ROAD WE MUST GO DOWN, JH IS A GOOD MATE OF MINE AND A BETTER MANAGER THAN 95% OF THEM IN THE LEAGUE BUT CAN WE AFFORD HIM??? ITS ALL ABOUT ££££ WITH MOST OF THE PLAYERS NOW A DAYS SAD IT IS, TO PLAY FOR YOUR HOME TOWN CLUB WAS A BIG THING IN THE 60 AND 70"S LETS TRY AND GO BACK TO THAT ERA!!! HAVE A GOOD DAY: |

Thought that i would just explain a few things as oddly enough, i know quite a bit about these boys and their "Gaffer". Gibbo is not going to be at the club next season, and therefore will only be used as cover. The club are in desperate need of a big sponsor (Brends) or a rich individual (brend?) I also know that the Rugby club and football club should come undre one banner so as to gaina greater fan base. (The two should never be home on the same day, or away on the same day. The club also should join the country wide initiative that is the P.A.S.E scheme, linked with either north devon or Tiverton college. And mr Pilgrim, I remember being chatted up by a young girl in the crowd away to Bournemouth!!! |

IF THEY WIN ITS NOT TO BAD BUT AS WE LOSE SO MUCH SHE GIVES ME GRIEF!!!!! AS FOR BIDEFORD, YES YOU ARE RIGHT THEY DO GET £££ AS YOU SAY, BUT THEY HAVE NOT SPENT IT ON PLAYERS YET AND THEY ARE 3 RD IN LEAGUE ON GOAL DIFF< SO WHAT ARE THEY DOING?? JOHN HORE IS THE BEST HAVE NODOUGHT ABOUT THAT!!! HE WILL DO THE JOB, BUT HE MUST HAVE THE £££ TO SPEND, PUT UP THE PRICE OF THE BEER BY 2p A PINT, TEA BY 10p CUP, ETC ETC AND WATCH THE £££ ROLL IN, BUT NO NOT PUT UP THE GATE PRICE UNTILL WE START TO WIN OR NO ONE WILL TURN UP: |

Cricket..........sad game. The players profile page has not been updated as there will bwe a new site up and running next season. As for the standard of footie at mill rd i agree it hasnt been fantastic, but unless people like you and i keep payibg our £3 entry and 70p program etc then it will only get worse. I am not a wealthy person but i give to my club as much as i can. I do not mind because i love the club. Maybe we need a few more who feel the same. I believe bidefords main income comes from Orange and vodaphone whos telephone ariels are on top of their floodlights. Plus whatever money Mr Mitchell doles out god bless him. |

Now then, lets be honest the standard of football@ mill rd has been awfull!!!!! how can the club ask the people of Barnstaple to pay aprox £5.00 per game to get in(oh yes it does, gate x programme x ednas half time draw!!!)o/k we all know its not easy to get players to come to north devon, John Hore is a master at getting the best players he can for what little ££££ he has got to spend, but Barum have got to spend more of the old ££££ on players to put bums on seats, look down the road at Bideford town, Mark Jenkins did not do a lot @ barum, so what is the differance now??? and they are looking @ Owen pickhard and Chris Myers for next season, who are town looking at!!!!! any one know; Good old John Cann trys his best in the Chair, but you need someone with the £££ to put in, hard to find, but unless Barum do they will be playing devon league soon::: |

I agree that Gibbo is a fine young keeper and am sure that he will oneday be Barums no1. But at the moment i think that the team need the experience of people like Denzil who has seen and done it all and is still a great keeper. and devizes are a better team than Odd Down (no disrespect to Odd Down) |

Couldn't get to Barnstaple but its good to see friendlry rivalry. Much more fun and intersting than "league football". Chippenham for a treble this season, League, Les Phillips Cup and FA Vase (if we win all our games until the end of the season we will achieve this. Derspite what some newspaper reports may have said we were not too good at Devizes on Tuesday, and maybe not that good today, but we keep on winning so who knows. Best of luck for your future, I remember a few years ago when it was Bideford and Barnstaple at the top, and not Taunton and The Blue Army. Maybe next season it will be Barnstaple and AN other (hopefully not Taunton - CTFC will be in the Dr Martens hopefully_. |

I wish to thank rory the red, for getting Chippenham Towns website in the national newspapers, Thanks Rory. so far the website has had over 15,000 hits since June. One of my goals for the website is to raise awareness of the Western League and of course Chippenham Town, If the websites Barnstaples & Chippenham, Taunton, Welton can encourage people to turn the telly off on a saturday afternoon and watch a LIVE game of western league football then its a winner. CHippenham * Barnstaple fans visit each other sites on a regular basis, and we have made some good friends, long may it continue. and this is why we must encourage clubs to have websites. |

Best of luck you reds against Taunton, couldn't agree more with the comments from Cara below. Keep ya eye on the basketball looking No.5. of Taunton, try and force him to do back passes to the keeper! Brilliant! See you all soon. Slider |

Good luck Barnstaple against Taunton, You were probably the hardest opposition we have played against this year and your goalie was brilliant. Taunton got flustered very easily, and started to loose it, they were lucky not to get a few players sent off. Just grind them into the ground, frustrate them, and chase every ball, and there is nothing from stopping you getting 3 points. |

We've played well this season and have shown that on our day we can compete well against the 'bigger' sides, so, BRING ON TAUNTON. |

Nice site. I would echo the comments made by my fellow CTFC fan Goose - you were very lucky to beat us at Huish Park. We were awful that day, but our manager insists that we'll roast you in the return fixture. Best of luck against Taunton on the 8th, do us a favour and take three points off of them. |

You lot should play all your games away from home!! Some what fortunate to beat us 1-0, but you do have what appeared to be a good young side! Do us all a favour and prove there is more than 1 team in this division, You got Taunton on the 8th, give them a hammering, its AWAY so you got a good chance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
