Neal  Austin New recruit to the 2001-2002 season. Tough tackling defender/midfield general battled back after a serious injury kept him out of the game for 2 years. Another back injury ended his season prematurely, after establishing himself in the first team squad. Moving to Australia in early 2002     Ian  Barber Forward/Midfield. Signed from Upper Beeding just before Christmas 2001. Robust centre forward who will score goals given the right service.Previously with Hassocks     Dave  Basnett Versatile player, strong on the ball with a cracking shot at his disposal. Likes to play up front or at the back, obviously a lazy git who does not like running! Another player who joined the club this year and needs to get fit! Another product of the Nottingham Trent football academy. Struggling to push himself into the first team due to living in london!     Luke  Betsworth Midfielder Worth his weight in gold going forward! Not forced his way into the first team as yet, but a regular second team player, who every so often scores a belter from distance with his sweet left foot. If only he trained so he could run!     David  Biggs Midfield/striking genius! Influential player with great footballing ability, creator of the team. Sometimes struggles to see team mates for a pass when the rather large hooter gets in the way! Could go a long way in the game if he trained hard and improved his vision. Would like to play the match with his own ball!
