John Lee  Anderson Role: Defender Saturday Teams Returned to Town this season following an acrimonious exit mid-way through the previous campaign. A calm influence at the back who is never happy to just belt the ball clear if there is a short pass on. His judgement of the game is outstanding and he is a valuable asset for the club, particularly considering the youthfulness and inexperience of Town's other defenders alongside him.     Paul  Baggaley Role: Vice-Chairman/Under-16s coach The driving force behind the club. The main organiser of anything that is connected to Newark Town (Such as fund raising and youth training sessions) and, more importantly, one of the driving forces behind the re-establishment of Newark Town nearly 10 years ago. Was the First team manager for a few years until he stood down to take over the impressive Under-16's side during the summer, but will still have alot to do with the club at Senior level, aswell as possibly playing for the Sunday morning side.     Alan 'Ali B'  Ball Role: Midfield (25/8/02) Sunday Team A very rare breed in the Newark Town Sunday Side - he has a wife, kids, house and a car! Very well known at his work place for his 'Trigger-like' comments, such as; "Apollo 13 was a good film, but the plot was abit unbelievable"!! Alan is deployed mostly on the right hand side of the midfield put perhaps is best quality is his finishing. Once he get's a sight of goal he rarely misses, however even more rare is him actually getting that sight of goal!     Adrian 'Baz'  Bower Age: 24 Role: Defender (25/8/02) Sunday team Known as 'Lord Bower' because he is about the only player in the squad who is well spoken and doesn't go around saying "mush", "chav" or "yoof"! When he's not strolling his many acres of land Baz is a sound left back who simply refuses to be rushed into a big hoof upfield. His comfort on the ball makes him a good left-winger when needed.     Nicky 'Nugget'  Brompton Age: 19 Role: Defender Saturday teams Highly gifted defender who had a superb 2000/2001 season when he firmly established himself a place in the First team aswell as being voted player of the year by his team mates at Town and at his two other club's, Farndon United and Muskham. Unfortunatly he won't be playing for the sunday team as he will be staying with Farndon, no suprise as he is more than good enough to be playing in the top division of the Newark Alliance. Could be absent for much of this season should he decide to go to University. Well reknowned for being the bloke that staggers round the local drinking establishments whilst getting shouted at by his missus!
