The draw for the first round of the CIS Insurance cup was made earlyer today. Accies got an away tie with Albion Rovers. The game will be played on Tuesday 10th of Septeber or Wednesday 11th September.

Accies were knocked out of the Bells Cup on Tuesday evening when they lost 3-0 to St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park, with the goals being scored by Ryan Stevenson, Ryan McCann and Peter McDonald. Accies manager Chris Hillcoat used a team that was very similar to Saturday's, with the only change being the introduction of Stuart Callaghan in place of Nicky Paterson. Hilly used Craig Smillie, Nicky Paterson and Iain McCreadie as substitutes. Martin Bonnar was booked.
