Freak Me Out  HELPLESS ... Seaman can only watch as the ball flies in
THE party's off - England's dream of grabbing World Cup glory is over. David Beckham and Co were dumped out by a double dose of Samba stardust.
Ronaldinho booked Brazil's place in the last four by firing a freak 40-yard winner past David Seaman. The England keeper was led off the field in tears and sobbed: "I want to say sorry to the fans and sorry to all the people I've let down today. I blame myself for this result because they scored their winning goal from a free-kick that was hit from quite a way out."
The veteran stopper, 38, was consoled by team-mates and boss Sven Goran Eriksson at the final whistle and cleared of any blame. Michael Owen had given England a dream start with a 23rd-minute opener - but Rivaldo levelled in first-half injury-time.
Then came Ronaldinho's 50th-minute clincher and our early flight home.
And, just to wreck your weekend completely, old rivals Germany sneaked into the semi-finals with an unconvincing 1-0 win over the USA in Ulsan.
The England Squad arrived back at Heathrow at 11pm BST on Saturday night.
