The George Holland Memorial Trophy

Whitton Athletic were originally formed in 1988 as OCA (THE OLD CITY ARMS, HAMMERSMITH) Strollers by a group of friend mainly former pupils of Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School in Kensington. In 1997, the name changed to Riverside Athletic and subsequently in 2001 to Whitton Athletic. The team is now made up of a mixture of teenage wide boys and old stagers and won their first ever competition, The George Holland Memorial Trophy in April 2002. Whitton Athletic play in the Chiswick & District Sunday Football League Intermediate Division, having just secured a third sucessive promotion.

Many thanks to Mike, Marie, Cathal and Triona from The Prince Albert, Whitton for their continuing support and hospitality.
