Muskham United hail from the small village of the same name from just 4 miles outside Newark, Nottinghamshire. They currently play their football in the Lincolnshire Intermediate under-18's Football League after alot of years of success in the Mid-Lincs Youth League. Managed by the much respected David Lord, Muskham have a reputation for hard-work, honest play and a superb team spirit which has made them popular with many observers of the local game. The 2000/2001 has been a great success for Muskham United - with the Lincs Intermediate South Division Championship and the League Cup added to the trophy cabinet. Muskham have experienced just 2 defeats this season on the way to their double success. Highlights include victories over North Division winners and runners-up, Bottesford Town and Appleby Frodingham 'B', a 4-1 beating of Rushcliffe Eagles to clinch the league, a 12-0 mauling of Manor United and an unlikely 2-1 win over Grantham Town in a friendly. The biggest high spot of a great season was undoubtedly the 3-1 victory over Premier Division side Gainsborough in the League Cup Final - no doubt a fitting way to conclude the lads' last season together as a team.
