Police raid house of Club Secretary.Wires Friday, May 04, 2001 08:43 GMT
The police probe into the club's internet security took an unusual turn yesterday. After last nights training session, Club Secretary Stuart Pauley found police waiting outside his flat with a search warrant. His computer was confiscated.
The club is refusing to comment other than to say, 'we believe people are assumed innocent until proven guilty'
The tabloid press were however quick to point out that the recent web site polling shows a large rise in Pauley's popularity. Considering his recent form on the pitch this seems unlikely.
