REITH ROVERS

EDINBURGH'S THIRD TEAM

Founded in the 1984 we play at Edinburgh's Meadowbank Stadium.

Why Reith Rovers? - Named in honour of Lord Reith, 'a Scottish lad made good', who became the founder of the BBC. His Presbyterian work ethic also fits in with our club's workman like performances.

The roots of the club were planted in a dark drinking hole in one of Edinburgh's seedier establishments. Seventeen years on, it still meets every Thursday night to commence battle on the astro turf.

The team started out as a BBC Edinburgh team and still has some old crocks playing for it, but now boasts ex-pro's amongst it's esteemed clientelle.
