Ellerslie One Day 2B side has Tied its match in the weekend against Howick Pakuranga at Michaels Ave No.2.
Ellerslie bolwed out How/Pak for 248 with John Hawkins taking 4-53 and Karl McGhie 2-57. In reply Ellerslie hit exactly 248 as well with Wayne Howe run out off the last ball. Ellerslie needed 3 runs off the last over to win hit a 2 off the first ball and then couldnt score another run to win the game. It came down to 1 run off the last ball Wayne and Criag knew they just had to run and the ball hit Craigs pads and they run with Wayne being run out in the process.
Top score with the bat went to Cliff Bailey 58 and Mark McGhie 31. Dave Brown scored 26 with 3 big sixes and John Hawkins scored 22.
Well done to the boys for providing the spectators with a nail biter.
