PARKING PROTEST

As from Friday 11th May 2001 we have been informed by our new landlords at the East of England Showground that after 30 years we have no rights under the terms of our lease to parking inside the East of England Showground.  Therefore, it is only the riders and officials who will be allowed access.

THIS QUITE CATEGORICALLY EXCLUDES ACCESS TO THOSE WHO ARE DISABLED OR ELDERLY AS WELL AS THE SEASON TICKET HOLDERS!

It is common knowledge that our new landlords are not Speedway fans and seems they will go to any lengths to make it difficult to run Speedway at the Showground.  We have already had to call off one meeting this season against Belle Vue because they refused us parking facilities and nearly had to call off another against Coventry because of a similar situation (see news story).
