Barclays beat improving Wellhouse

At the request of Barclays, after feeling they didn't do themselves justice last time around, Wellhouse met them on Thursday night at Crawshaw Street for a rematch of their friendly of two weeks ago. It was a much dryer hotter night on a much larger field, and a very different game.

The yearly trip to Martin-Cum-Grafton proved an enjoyable one for the Wellhouse squad, coming away with a comfortable 3-0 win, and then spending the rest of the day drinking in various pub's around York.

Wellhouse took another step forward on Sunday with a convincing win in their friendly against a team from Barnsley. The game finished at 6-0 and at times Wellhouse played some outstanding football.

The managerial career of Paul Chadwick began last night on a wet but warm evening. In a fixture that was arranged at very short notice, the match was played out down at Oldroyd Park, using cones to mark out the field as no white lines were present.
