• After much speculation and debate after the retirement of Ian Wilkins, Paul Chadwick has been named as the new Manager of Wellhouse FC.  Paul said in a recent exclusive interview with our very own website news that he was 'looking forward to the challenge which lay ahead' and promised 'attractive and positive football'  from his youthful squad.  A full interview with Paul will be appearing shortly in the news section.
• Preseason training has now begun.  A number of friendlies are in the process of being arranged, including their yearly visit to Martin-Cum-Grafton just outside of York.  A full list of dates and fixtures will be published here as soon as they are confirmed.

Club Background Information

To look at, not the most likeliest of lads you'd associate with a footballing background. But once they don the shirts of Wellhouse, an amazing transformation occurs. Formed in 1993, Wellhouse FC play in the Heavy Woollen Gate Sunday Alliance Football League. The team itself has played under various names over the years. Starting at the bottom of seven Divisions we now play on the Second Division. Honours include, Div VI Runners Up, Div IV Winners, Gate Cup Finalists, Mirfield Charity Cup Plate Winners. Based in Mirfield, West Yorkshire we play home matches at Sands Lane in Dewsbury. Our name being derived from Wellhouse area of Mirfield.
