A MIXTURE of disappointment and excitement abounds at Cleveland Parklife with the decision from Berwick that they have declined to race us but Glasgow have agreed for us to visit Ashfield in September as scheduled. The other club we wanted to race, Newcastle, cannot make a decision (two for two against - unfortunately the two against are the ones who hold most sway).

FORMER MIDDLESBROUGH promoter REG FEARMAN (pictured wearing the suit in this team photo from 1964) A YEAR AGO we wrote to Vintage Speedway Magazine asking for former Middlesbrough promoter Reg Fearman's telephone number with the possibility of an interview. Reg promoted Provincial League speedway at Cleveland Park betweeen 1961 and 1964 and three open licence meetings in 1965.
