One of Gloucestershire's most famous and oldest cricket team, Dowty are fighting to keep going, as a new housing estate, envelopes the pitch. A relatively young side will attempt to revive the team after a lot of players left last season and walked out during the clubs difficult time. The young side to start the 2001 season, although inexperienced at 1st team level, should prove to be a solid backbone for the future.
