FORMER MIDDLESBROUGH RIDER DIESDave Payling Monday, January 07, 2002 20:21 GMT
With sadness I have to announce that Maurice (Slant) Payling passed away on the evening of Friday Jan 4th 2001 in Rotherham General Hospital after a recent deterioration in his health. His racing years at Middlesbrough and other clubs were among the most exciting and fulfilling parts of his life and which he still held fond memories of. I leave this message so his memory can live on and to encourage continued enthusiasm in Speedway from its many supporters.
NB: Our condolences go to his family and friends.
